Today, the “Thrive & Shine: Tips for a Happy & Healthy New Year” webinar will feature a diverse range of experts and influencers with decades of experience, available for you to engage with and ask questions to help guide you on your wellness journey.
Meet the Panelists
Dr. Virginia Caine. Dr. Caine is the Director and Chief Medical Officer of the Marion County Public Health Department. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine Infectious Diseases Division. She is the former President of American Public Health Association, President of the National Medical Association (NMA), Chair of the Infectious Diseases Section, and member of the NMA and Indiana COVID-19 Task Forces.
Dr. Eric Griggs. Dr. Griggs is a New Orleans-based Community Medicine Doctor and Health Educator who has dedicated his professional life to raising health and wellness awareness in communities, nationally and internationally. Dr. Griggs currently serves as the chapter president of the 100 Black Men of Metro New Orleans and is a member of the National 100 Black Men of America’s Health and Wellness Committee, where is serves as the national COVID-19 Chair.
Chef Huda Mu’min. Chef Huda is the Record-Setting Champion of Food Network and a standout from ABC’s “The Taste.” She is also a distinguished guest chef at the White House for exclusive events. Chef Huda is on a mission to fuel inspiration beyond the plate by redefining healthy comfort food with a cultural twist through her organization The Just Savor Group. But Chef Huda isn’t just a culinary expert; she’s also a devoted ambassador for The American Heart Association, Red Nose Day (Comic Relief), and The Salvation Army.
Dr. Keven Stonewall. Dr. Stonewall is a Family Medicine resident physician at Northwestern Medicine. As a South Side of Chicago native, Dr. Stonewall is a passionate advocate for health equity, community empowerment, and improving health literacy and access, particularly for underserved communities. He strives to make healthcare more relatable through innovative education and outreach. His personal mission shines through with his barbershop-based health education initiative, Cuts and Culture, founded to bridge gaps in health awareness.
Moderator: Kimberly Jeffries Leonard. Dr. Jeffries Leonard is the President and CEO of Envision Consulting, LLC, and is the first Black woman chair of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Inc. Board of Directors. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Jeffries Leonard is currently serving as the current Chair of Fayetteville State University Board of Trustees – her undergraduate alma mater; current Member and Secretary of AIDS United Board of Directors; the 17th National President of The Links, Incorporated and The Links Foundation, Incorporated; Vice President of Administration and Member of the Board of Directors of the Black Women’s Agenda, Inc.
